The first arancino as soon as I land in Sicily, the homemade raki that reminds me of Crete, the masala dosa rite in India, the injera that you can eat with your hands just like in Eritrea, the ramen noodles that you can order at a vending machine in Tokyo, the arepa de queso that was my “on the road companion” in Colombia or the last sfogliatella that I put in my suitcase before leaving Naples.
